The Summit Foundation, Summit County’s largest philanthropic organization, is pleased to announce that it recently awarded over $660,000 to 47 local nonprofit organizations through its spring grant cycle. This significant community support is part of over $1 million in grants donated annually by the Foundation to 95 critical community partners.

The spring grant cycle emphasized the Summit Foundation's commitment to making a meaningful impact across the entire community. Grants were awarded to address a variety of community needs and issues, including food for those in need, education and career development, mental health support, access and affordability of youth sports, trail building and repair, childcare, and the arts. Each grant serves to enrich the lives of working families and contributes to building a stronger and more vibrant community.

"Our grants and other support empower our community partners to address critical needs, foster innovation, and ultimately, enhance the well-being of our residents. Our donors rely on the Foundation to thoroughly evaluate and tackle a wide range of issues in collaboration with the nonprofits, and we have a strong and unwavering commitment to that part of our mission."

The spring grant recipients represent a diverse range of nonprofits, each selected based on their demonstrated commitment to improving quality of life in Summit County. These organizations embody the Summit Foundation's core values and are actively working to create lasting change. Their projects and programs will have far-reaching benefits in improving lives, preserving the environment, and nurturing the creative spirit within our community. About 10% of the grants are awarded to the neighboring communities bordering Summit County to support the local workforce who live there.
